IE7 vs Firefox 2.0
Just slightly more than a week after Microsofts’ official launch of the Internet Explorer 7 as previously posted at retrochronix.com, the Mozilla Firefox team also decided to debut their Firefox 2.0 to match up with the competition’s browser hype. While most of the new features showcased by Internet Explorer 7, Firefox already had them since its previous releases, the Firefox’s 2.0 upgrade does not come as just a repackaged version of its old browser.

The newest release of Firefox fixed up a few usability issues from its old browser allowing an easier way to close tabs, a way to resume previous browsing sessions, support for Javascript 1.7 for Ajax fanatics out there as well as better add-ons and extensions management. It seems as if IE7 has caught up to the standards of web browsing in the web 2.0 era, but still, I can’t get past their weird usability decision of placing the address bar at the very top.
