Top 5 Geekiest T-Shirts

November 4th, 2006

You know you’re too geeky when you check out t-shirts like these and actually ‘ROTFLOL’ at their nerdy jokes. But anyways, here are the 5 most hilarious geek t-shirt designs on my list. Available at thinkgeek.com.

5. Pi T-Shirt (to 4493 digits)
Pi T-Shirt
Now you can go memorize up to 4493 digits of Pi while you’re bored on the bus, train or anywhere else! You could even celebrate Pi-day on March 14th 3:14 pm in style by beating others (including Weird Al Yankovic) to knowing the most places of Pi without a sweat.

4. HTML tag gearset
 Hat
 T-Shirt

Siriam M.G. once said that “Looking at the proliferation of personal web pages on the net, it looks like very soon everyone on earth will have 15 Megabytes of fame.”. With this matching pair of <head> and <body> HTML tagged hat and shirt, you can very now wear your 15 Meg website of fame wherever you go.

3. LMAO T-Shirt

When you laugh your ass off too much… it becomes literal….

2. STFU University T-Shirt
STFU T-Shirt
When I first saw this shirt, it immediately reminded me of the college flick “Accepted” that came out this summer where the kids there all went to South Harmon Institute of Technology (a.k.a. S.H.I.T.). Picking up on the college humour, the people from STFU (South Texas Federal University maybe?) parodied a college shirt design packed with jokes. The University’s Latin motto - “Subsiste Sermonem Statim” translates to “Stop Talking Now”, fitting perfectly with their ideal of shutting people up! And while STFU may not be an Ivy League University, it most certainly stands out as an Ivy LEET college with their long history since 1337.

1. Geek Love Poem T-Shirt
Geek Love Poem T-Shirt
When it comes to nerd jokes, this geek poem here clearly brings in a lot a flavor in it. Parodying the original ‘roses are red’ poems with Hex coloring system, the people from ThinkGeek cleverly rounded it off with homage to Zero Wing, the weirdest Japanese translated Engrish(sic) game of all time. Watch the original “All your base are belong to us video” here with the nonsensical game conversations that started the greatest online hype of all time.

CSS Rebooting

November 2nd, 2006

Every May and November 1st (which means today), a lot of blogs or personal websites get a face lift as part of the global web community CSS reboot movement. For site owners, changing the site design not only makes you improve site usability by evaluating and optimizing on the current navigation UI, being a part of this internet standard may also lead to a slight boost in reader hit rate as traffic comes in through promotions of this standard. As for web designers like me, this would be the best season to pick up some inspirations and ideas, as well as roam around the net for interesting sites.

While this site was launched for only a little more than a month and doesn’t call for a remake as of yet, I do look forward to being joining on the CSS reboot in the future next May when things get on a little more smoothly.
